A hospital in Connecticut gets $100 million; Tennessee gets an additional $100 million in Medicaid aid and Louisiana gets a $300 million boost in Medicaid funding.
Another deal pushed by Democrats from North Dakota would favor Utah and a small group of other "frontier states," such as South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming. These five states would see a boost in pay for Utah hospitals and physicians who treat seniors. These states will get to split $2 billion in additional Medicare payments over the next decade.
