Reliable sources report that former Miss America Heather French Henry is seriously considering a run for Louisville Metro Mayor next year.
Her entry into a crowded field of major male contenders in the Democratic Primary could very well make her the front runner.
Henry has major name recognition, has charisma, is articulate and smart, and would have no problem raising money.
Some time ago I was asked who I thought was the frontrunner in the Democratic Primary: Tyler Allen, Greg Fischer, Jim King or David Tandy. My reponse was that the frontrunner had not declared her candidacy yet. It was my belief, then, as is now, that a major woman contender would shake up the current all male field. And Heather French Henry would do just that.
At any rate, Heather could make things very interesting next year in the Mayor's race.
Only time will tell.
